| Create jobs for BAMS/ISM medicos in NUHM scheme: UADA | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 17: Alleging that it seems government has no concrete employment policy for the Ayurvedic/ISM doctors resulting into unemployment in educated professional lot, the unemployed BAMS Doctors of Jammu region under the banner of "Unemployed Ayurvedic Doctors Association (UADA) today demanded from Chief Minister and said Minister for Health to implement the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM ) in its true spirits and adjust ISM Ayurvedic doctors under Ball Swasth Karykram also. Highlighting their plights Dr Sahil Pandoh President and vice president of organization Amit Gupta in a press conference here today said, "The Govt, have no employment policy for the Ayurvedic ISM doctors and the strength of the Un employed BAMS/ISM doctors is growing day by day. They said the Govt is not doing anything for the absorption of the Ayurvedic/ISM Doctors. Dr Sahil appealed the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Health Minister Taj Mohi-ud-din to create posts of Ayuruvedic/ISM doctors under and implement the NUHM national urban health mission and also adjust ISM Ayurvedic doctors under Ball Swasth Karykram also. He said when the chief minister has assured to fill up the 80 thousands post in of the Govt sector, than advertise the posts for Ayurvedic/ISM doctors. He also demanded that equal opportunities should be given, provided to the Ayurvedic/ISM doctors of rural and urban areas under NRHM. He said all the dispensaries are lying vacant without the doctors while a huge lot of trained Ayurvedic doctors are left frustrated without jobs as being ignored by the present regime. Dr Sahil also demanded the stipend for the Ayurvedic BAMS/ISM doctors during the internship to treat them at par with MBBS medics. Speakers threatened that they will intensify the agitation and come on streets in the coming days if their demands are not looked into. Amit Gupta vice president of the association has urged upon the directors Health and NRHM to ensure that the fair selections in AYUSH, NRHM posts with the ISM Ayurvedic doctors. |
