| JKPP elects its adhoc body, highlights demands | | | Jammu, June 17: Jammu & Kashmir Panchayat Parishad (JKPP) held its meeting at Bari Brahmna Jammu under the chairmanship Swaran Singh while Rajinder Tripathi General Secretary All India Panchayat Parishad New Delhi was present as special invitee. An adhoc body was constituted with Swaran Singh as it president. During the meeting the members took stock of the situation and assessed the situation of all panchayats in J&K state besides security of Panchs & Sarpanches in state. Members demanded all the 29 departments of state should be brought under the supervision of panchayats. elections of Block Development Councils and District Development Councils. Meantime an adoc State body of Parishad was also constituted to empower the J&K Parishad the special invitee Rajinder Singh Tripathi announced the Adhoc Body.
The members of adhoc body announced today were Swaran Singh (State President) Gopal Singh Charak (Sr Vice President), Sanjay Mahajan (Vice President), Yoginder Singh Guleria (General Secretary), G R Mehta (Secretary), Balkar Singh (Organising Secretary), Parveen Slathia (Publicity Secretary), Rajinder Singh (Cashier), Jog Raj Mehta (Coordinator). |
