Jammu, June 17: State Government Employees Joint Action Committee (SGEJAC) Tuesday took out a protest demonstration to press the state government to consider their long pending demands. Under the banner of SGEJAC, employees today gathered outside Press Club and shouted slogans against state government. Senior SGEJAC leader, Susheel Sudan criticized the step motherly treatment of state government towards state employees. "How long the state government will befool the employees by extending assurance after assurances and calling reports after reports from Head of Departments (HOD) but on ground nothing has been done so far" Susheel Sudan said. He said that employees were facing hardships due to long pending demands including release of 10% DA cash, enhancement of medical allowance to Rs 1000/per month, daily wages to get Rs. 300 per day, reduce qualifying service for pension from 28 years to 20 year as per Union norms, budgetary supports, timely salaries and sixth pay commission benefits to PSU employees. He threatened state government they would drastic step and government will responsible for consequences if their demands would not be conceded to before June 30. |
