| KCC wins Channi Himmat Cricket League 2014 | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 5: Final match of Channi Himmat Cricket League 2014 was played today at Sector 2 Channi Himmat Jammu. The final match was held between Khalsa Cricket Club Preet Nagar and Choudhary Cricket Club Rama Channi. Ram Paul Sharma eminent social worker of Channi Himmat was the chief guest on the occasion while Ranjeet Singh was the guest of honour. Rajni Sharma Principal U.P Hr. Sec. School Channi Himmat presided over the prize distribution function. Khalsa Cricket club won the toss and elected to bat first. In their impressive inning KCC made 127 runs in 12 overs. In reply, Choudhary Cricket Club was all out on 95 runs. Aman declared man of the series. Speaking on the presentation ceremony Chief Guest Ram Paul congratulated both the teams who played the sport with full sportsmanship spirit. He said that organizing such tournaments give opportunities to young and budding players to display their talent and it also helps them in improving their physical fitness and their ability to play the sport. He also conveyed the message of oneness and national integrity to the youth presented in the audience. Rajni Sharma also congratulated organisers, the wining team and said that by organising such tournaments organisers provided youth a chance to exhibit their talent and get chances to represent the state and the country at national and the international level. Arjun Singh Charak , one of the organiser spoke on the occasion that 64 teams from different parts of Jammu province took part in the CHCL 2014. He also added that cash prize of Rs15000 will be given to the winner and Rs6000 to the runner up team. Mementoes and trophies will be presented to all the 64 participated teams. Other organiers Narinder Singh Charak, Bhagwan Singh, Khushwinder Singh and Kulwant Singh Charak were also presented on the occasion. |
