| State of arts ‘KC Sports Club’ thrown open to public | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 5: KC Sports Club Jammu promoted by Sudershan Mahajan – Raju Chowdhary Group located at Akhnoor Road, Jammu adjacent to K C Public School, opened its portals to the public with a grand inaugural function organized in the Club this evening.
Three storeyed ‘KC Sports Club’ is spread over an area of more than 60,000 sqft and is equipped with a vast array of Cybex (computer aided) fitness equipment imported from the US. The club also houses a rock climbing wall for adventure enthusiasts interested in scaling rocky cliffs with considerable degree of difficulty.
With this Club, Chairman KC Group Sudershan Mahajan has set a new path into a new era of health, wellness and fitness for the people of Jammu. Amid loud cheers from gathering, Chairman KC Group Sudershan Mahajan inaugurated the above said state of arts club in well attended ceremony.
Earlier Siddhant Chowdhary in his welcome address gave a brief description of the sporting and recreational activities available in the Club and appealed to the people to get the quality of their lives through improved health and wellness.
He also mentioned that Club is brainchild and end product of tireless efforts from its Managing Director Arjun Chowdhary, the fifth generation of the leading KC Group established in the 1940’s. “Mr Arjun Chowdhary had a dream about a world class indoor sports facility for the people of state,” he said further adding, “particularly during his stay in abroad while his graduation from the University of Nottingham, UK.”
Speaking to the media persons on the occasion of the inauguration of the Club, he said, the Club is totally dedicated to the service of the community and it would be the fulfillment of a dream if the young people of Jammu & Kashmir pursue their dreams of excellence in sports through the medium of the Club and get acknowledged in the sporting arenas at the national and international levels.’
Phase I of the project has been completed with the opening of the Gym and 2 multi-purpose halls on the ground floor while an indoor swimming pool is also under construction on the ground floor. |
