Jammu, Aug 5: J&K RTI Movement questions former Vice-Chancellor Talat Ahmad for using university's manpower and machinery for his son's marriage and terms it unethical and illegitimate. According to press release, the Movement members said, it is quite unfortunate and wrong on his part to use Kashmir university accommodation and vehicles for his son's marriage ceremony. He is no more associated with the university and he shouldn't hold the function in VC lodge as a responsible person. It is completely shameful act, they said. "Apart from not delivering as a public servant ,he has misused his influence which is extremely shocking on part of ex VC. No wonder the highest number of RTI applications were filed in KU during his tenure", they maintained. They appealed Chancellor KU, who is also Governer of J&K, to get the matter investigated and take stringent action against former VC. |
