Kathua, Aug 5 : To celebrate the Sanitation Week, Muncipal Committee Lakhanpur including locals today started a sanitation drive in Lakhanpur area. The drive was launched in the supervision of EO Lakhanpur Muncipal Committee Narinder Singh. The drive was carried in main market, streets, and part of National Highway of Lakhanpur. While speaking on the occasion, EO, LMC, Narinder Singh accompanied by Raman and Surinder exhorted the public to extend their support in carrying the sanitation in Lakhanpur to achieve the goal of hygienic and pollution free surroundings.
He said that the main motive of the sanitation drive is to improve the sanitation system in the Lakhanpur town. While locals said that a project for sanitation is the need of the Lakhanpur because it is situated at the gateway of J&K Lakhanpur due to which the influx of tourists and conducting of so many business activities are held that added sanitation trouble, so it must be prepared and implemented to carrying the permanent sanitation in Lakhanpur town. |
