| Man assaulted, shot at over land dispute | | | Early Times Report NEW DELHI, Aug 5: A 25 years old was critically injured after he was assaulted and shot at by a group of five over a land dispute in Thanamandi area. According to police, one Mohammad Iqbal (25) son of Sobha resident of Danna Hasplote village falling under the jurisdiction of Thanamandi police station was rushed to the local hospital in critical condition with bullet injuries after which he was referred to district hospital where his condition was stated to be grievous when last reports came in. Police sources said that in his statement, victim as well as his family members stated that Mohammad Iqbal was on his way to Katte Dhok from his village when few persons assaulted him and left him critically injured. After hearing hue and cry of the victim some passersby rushed to the spot after which accused fled from the spot while victim was removed to local hospital. Reportedly, one ear of the victim has been also been deeply cut by the accused while victim is also having two bullet shots over his body. Meanwhile, police have registered a case under FIR 116/2014 under sections 307, 147, 148, 149, 323 and 341 of RPC against the accused some of whom have been identified as Abdul Rashid, Mohammad Sharif and Mohammad Kabir all sons of Abdul, Mohammad Farooq son of Makhna and Saleema Akhter wife of Abdul Rashid, all resident of Mangota village of Thanamandi. |
