Banihal, Aug 5: Police claimed to have arrested one person and recovered banned forest produce banned (Nag Chhatri) from his possession during a routine checking at Nachlana locality of Banihal.
Police said, "The accused has been identified namely as Abdul Rashid s/o Ahmdu Naik of Khawda Khari."
Police reports said, "On specific information police team intercepted one person for his suspicious movements at a naka in Nachlana locality of Banihal.'
During his frisking and search of his belongings, the police recovered banned forest produce (Nag Chhatri) from his possession, police sources said.
A case in this regard stands registered u/s 379 and 6 of Forest Act at Police Post Khari Banihal.
