| Nephew assaults maternal uncle over family dispute | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Aug 5: An old family dispute led to a murderous attack on a person by his own nephew with the help of some unidentified persons at village Hasplote in Rajouri district.
Sources said that Kabir Hussain son of Abdul Hussain resident of village Mangota blocked the way of his maternal uncle Mohd Iqbal son of Mohd Subha resident of village Hasplote while the victim was on way to a forest along with his live stock.
According to victim Iqbal, his nephew Kabir said that he want to take revenge with him as he had beaten him about two years back over a dispute between them.
Iqbal also claimed that Kabir also opened fire with his 12 bore gun and some splinters also hit his legs.
Doctors at district hospital said that Iqbal had fracture in his right leg and his ear was also damaged.
When contacted DSP probationer Mehraj-ud-Din said that the victim was taken to district hospital and police was not informed. Police party has been rushed to village for on the spot verification of the incident and necessary action.
Reliable sources said that Kabir had illicit relations with the wife of Iqbal (Kabir's Mami) and the matter was also brought in the notice of police two years ago.
Sarpanch of Hasplote Mohd Hussain has also said that the matter was settled amicably in the Panchyat and police case was withdrawn. |
