| One killed, four injured at Banihal | | | | Batote, Sept 2:A girl was killed while her family members received critical injuries, when a car in which they were travelling collided with truck coming from opposite direction at Chamalwas in Banihal on Tuesday. After collision the car was rolled down into gorge, according to police sources, the deceased girl has been identified as Arti, while her sister Manisha, mother Sunita Pandita, brother Rajkumar and father Mahesh Krishen Pandita of Chinnor Bantalab, Jammu were seriously injured in the mishap. However, Arti succumbed to her injuries while being shifted to the Sub-District Hospital, Banihal while as others were referred to SKIMS, Soura from there. Meanwhile, truck driver Wasim Raja Bhat of Kulgam has been arrested and his truck was seized by police. |
