| NPP condole unfortunate demise of Prof MR Puri | | | Jammu, Sept 2: Dogra Ratan Award Committee condoled the unfortunate and sad demise of the former Vice-Chancellor of Jammu University and presently Chairman of Dogra Ratan Award Committee.
In a resolution, the Committee expressed sympathy with the members of the family and prayed for peace to the departed soul in the heavens. The National Panthers Party working committee also held a condolence meeting expressing shock on the death of one of the leading lights of Dogra Pradesh who had made immense contributions towards building the treasure of Dogri literature and science in his capacity as a Professor, as an administrator and as a social activist.
Prof. Bhim Singh in his tributes described Prof. Puri as his great teacher where he had honour to be student of Prof. Puri in GGM Science College Jammu.
He said that entire Jammu Pradesh is mourning the death of our great friend, philosopher, teacher and disappearance of the beacon lights. Prof. Puri shall be remembered for his noble and human contributions all the times. |
