DB grants time to petitioner for filling supplementary affidavit

Jammu, Sept 17 (JNF) : In the larger interest of public, a PIL was filed by two advocates in the high court against the unplanned digging and frequent traffic jams in Jammu city.
Advocates Ashish Sharma and Deepak Singh Balouria filed the PIL against unplanned digging and frequent traffic jams in Jammu, submitting that the entire process of digging of roads was so mismanaged that the same were left dug up for months together with either little or no progress. Not only this, the roads where sewerage pipes had been laid, the agencies responsible for metalling the same were absolutely callous in discharging their duties. A high court division bench of Justice Virender Singh and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur, after hearing the two sides, directed advocate B S Salathia appearing for the petitioner to file supplementary affidavit in which he could put forth certain suggestion regarding the PIL.
