JAMMU, Jan 15: In order to promote the hockey game among the youngsters, Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation organized 2nd Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sub-junior Hockey Tournament at K.K. Hakku Stadium Jammu under the aegis of Hockey J&K.
In the first match, MBS Hockey club defeated Shaheed Bhagat singh Hockey Club by 4-0. Gaganpreet Singh scored goal in 6th minute, Prabhat Singh in 11th minute, Ramandeep singh in 50th minute and Gurkirat Singh in 59th minute for MBS Hockey Club.
In closely contested second match, Guru Nanak Hockey Club defeated Hira Nagar Hockey Club by 2-0. Simranji Singh scored goal in 57th minute.
Pragya Gandotra, noted emerging entrepreneur was the guest of honour. After getting introduced to the playing teams. Gandotra appreciated Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh foundation for organizing this tournament for under U-16 category.
Others present on the occasion included Sant Waryam Singh, leader Namdhari sangat Jammu,Pinku Goswami, veteran hockey player of state, Tirlok Singh, Davinder Bakshi and other sports lovers. The matches were officiated by Jagjit Singh,. Dalvir Singh, Joginder Singh, and G.S. Bakshi as tournament director.
The matches for 16th January will be played between Sittu Hockey Club and Zorawar Hockey Club at 1.30 pm , Ajit Club and Young Star Hockey club Simble camp at 2.30 pm at KK Hakku Stadium Jammu. |
