Married woman gang raped, manhunt launched to nab accused

Rajouri, Jan 15: Crime against women still went unchecked in Rajouri district as a gang rape with a married woman was reported in a remote village falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Budhal of Rajouri district on Wednesday while massive manhunt has been launched to nab the two main accused who absconding after commiting crime.
Police sources said, "The accused identified namely as Manzoor Hussain and Mushtaq Ahmed still are absconding while amanhunt has been launched to nab them."
"The victim -a married woman (name withheld) and resident of Gaza Daraman near Bela village lodged complaint with police alleging that two youths of her locality committed gang rape upon her in a forest near her house, police sources said.
In her complaint, the victim alleged that that she had gone in the forest near her house to graze the live stock on Wednesday and two youths namely identified as Manzoor Hussain and Mushtaq Ahmed who were passing through the forest overpowered her and committed rape upon her, they said while quoting the victim.
Complainant also had alleged that duo before leaving the crime spot threatened her of dire consequences if she identifies them. Police sources said immediately after the complainant was lodged with police the police got the victim medically examined while a case FIR No 4/2015 u/s 376 RPC against the accused persons. "Massive manhunt has been launched to nab accused who presently are absconding after the committing the crime," said Parmod Singh, SHO, Budhal police station and added, "soon the accused will be under police custody.
