Reasi, Jan 15 : A financial literacy camp was organised at Government Degree College Reasi by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) Reasi. On the occasion, District Manager NABARD Reasi, Aarshi Sharma started introduction of all banking products like savings accounts, fixed deposits, Recurring Deposits, loans, etc. She explained banking system in India and briefed working of banks and functions of RBI and NABARD to students. She also highlighted benefits of savings account of kids and also motivated students to join banks after completion of studies. "Parents should open savings accounts for their children also so that savings for child's education start early". A Quiz competition on banking was organised and prizes were distributed among the students. While Attan Jee Raina explained about various training progr-ammes of SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute as well as other schemes which are benefited for students and public at large. Later, Veer Pratap motivated students to start their own enterprise and become economically independent. Later he briefed students on various entrepreneurship development schemes of JKEDI and he advised students to visit district employment office and clarify all their doubts regarding all employment schemes any time in future.
