SAMBA, Feb 6: District Information Centre today organized a symposium on the topic "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" at Government Girl Middle, School Dhamore in Vijaypur Tehsil of District Samba.
The objective of symposium was to address gender imbalance and discrimination against the girl child.\ About nine students of Govt. Middle Schools Damore, Bari Brahmna, and Jakh participated in the symposium. Bhumika Jamwal of Dhamore school of class 7th stood first, Seema Kumari of Bari-Brahmna of 8thclass got 2nd position and Diksha Kattru of Jakh school of class 7thgot 3rd position.
Certificates and trophies were given to the participants by the Information Department Samba. |
