Jammu, Feb 6: Member of Legislative Assembly from RS Pura constituency Dr. Gagan Bhagat today inaugurated Badminton tournament here at Banota.
According to press release, the camp was a part of JKP's Civic Action Programme wherein more than 100 boys and girls from various villages of R.S Pura will be participating in it.
Meanwhile, Bhagat highlighted the role of youth in the development of society. He said that sports enhance mental and physical ability of the youth, hone their talent in different capacities. The discipline and spirit of team work enable youth to lead towards a right direction, Dr.Gagan Bhagat.
Deliberating on the aim and objective of Civic Action Programme undertaken by Jammu and Kashmir Police, he said that the programme comprises several schemes for the promotion of youth in sports and cultural arena.
The schemes are also taken in hands for uplifting the down trodden sections of the society and physically challenged people, he further added that JKP, besides its professional policing, has been organizing many sports and cultural events which is a very good initiative.
He also lauded the efforts of JKP, prominent among those who were present included Amir Singh, Charanjeet , Noubat Ram Sharma, Gurpal Singh, Rajesh Babbu, and Inder Sudan. |
