Jammu, May 16: Jammu and Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts, Jammu in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages organized a book release function at KL Saigal Hall. In the function, two books titled Hadees-e- Hayat, a collection of Urdu poetry and Tanhayian a collection of poetry in Hindi written by O.P. Shakir were released . Rajiv Sharma, M.LA Akhnoor presided over the function whereas Danesh Rana, IGP, Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Sohail Kazmi, Senior Journalist, M L Sharma, former HOD, Department of Pharmacology. Rajiv Sharma, MLA Akhnoor in his presidential address appreciated the roll of the Jammu and Kashmir Centre for creative Arts, for doing a lot of literary and other kind of activities for the development of Art, Culture and Languages in and outside the State. He also congratulated OP Shakir, the author of the Books released today for his contribution in the field of literature in Urdu and Hindi. Danesh Rana, Inspector General of Police, Jammu while congratulating the author of the books said that the literature being written in the region is highly appreciable as the writers and poets are leading spirit of the society. He also appreciated the efforts of JKCCA for promoting Art, Culture and Languages and providing platform to the younger generation. |
