Shivani murder case: 3rd accused held, illicit relations behind 'brutal killing' 5/16/2015 10:40:23 PM Early Times Report Jammu, May 16: Police today claimed to have arrested another accused allegedly involved in the brutal killing of a paramedical student Shivani whose chopped body was found on May 4. According to police sources, "The third accused has been identified namely as Mohd Ibrahim has been arrested today.' SSP Jammu Uttam Chand said, "The third accused arrested today was reportedly present in the room at the time of Shivani's murder.' Giving further details, he said, " A missing girl -Shivani Jaral was found brutally murdered on May 4 by the police and a case FIR No: 105/2015 U/S 364/302/404/297/34 RPC stands registered at P/S Gandhi Nagar. SSP Jammu said, "Following disclosures on the arrested couple namely Rajni Devi and Sunil Kumar, arrested one more person namely Mohd Ibrahim S/o Noor Mohd R/o W-7 Dingla, Poonch involved in the murder." "The trio after killing the girl left the spot, Mohd Ibrahim went back to Poonch and husband wife duo went to Roop Nagar and purchased Toka (sharp edged weapon), they came back, chopped the dead body of girl and dumped her body in the septic tank, he added while quoting the disclosures of the accused presently detained by the police. SSP Jammu said Investigation further revealed that Rajni Devi W/o Sunil Kumar and Mohd Ibrahim were having an illicit relationship since long. "Sunil Kumar with the help of Shivani Jaral managed a video camera and tried recording their illicit activities, he said, adding, "the camera got exposed which lead to a plan of killing of Shivani." "Mohd Ibrahim and Rajni Devi decided to get rid of Shivani to save their skins and they involved Sunil by way of money and by way of threatening him. "Sunil managed Shivani's presence at Rehari from where the trio took her to Muthi, police officer said and further added that they strangulated Shivani and finally killed her there. Pertinent to mention that a Special Investigating Team (SIT) headed by SDPO City South, Sachin Gupta with Inspector Parmjeet Singh SHO P/S Gandhi Nagar, ASI Hazara Singh, ASI Babu Ram and HC Satvir Singh was entrusted to investigating the case to gather more evidence if any, in due course case will be produced in Court of law.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
