Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Dec 22: After being ejected out from upcoming Foreign Secretary level talks between India and Pakistan, separatists in Kashmir attaching self conceived myths with dialogue process now pitch for their inclusion in the talks.
On December 17 Ministry of External Affairs of India blocking all doors for separatist leaders in upcoming Foreign Secretary level talks between India and Pakistan said that "all bilateral issues are to be addressed mutually between the two countries."
Feeling ignored Hardliner Separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani once again today said that "Hurriyat amalgam is not against bilateral engagements of India and Pakistan, however, 150 such rounds have already been held."
In his address to a meeting of its members held in Hyderpora area of Srinagar, Geelani said that "Till the Kashmiris are not taken into confidence and it is not elaborated that what stand Pakistan has adopted regarding to the Kashmir issue in the on-going dialogue process and what are their future strategies in this regard, till than our reservations will not end and we can't support them."
Taking a dig on Pakistan Geelani asked Pakistan to "clear its stand" viz-a-viz fresh round of talks with India.
After hardliner Syed Ali shah Geelani today another noted separatist leader Shakeel Bakshi called upon all other separatist leaders to "stay vigilant about ongoing talk process between India and Pakistan."
Bakshi said that "they must make it clear that Pak-India relations are of secondary status when it comes to Kashmir dispute and that Kashmiris are the principle party to it."
"The people of Kashmir are capable to defeat the evil designs which are being manufactured through so called backdoor /track II diplomacy," Bakshi said
Bakshi who heads Islamic Students League (ISL) said that present situation demanded that we (separatists) must strengthen an indigenous resistance movement keeping in mind the principles of Islam, self-esteem and self-reliance.
Another separatist faction, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM), a constituent of the Hardliner Syed Ali Shah Gilani feeling ignored today said that "Pakistan and India should pave way for participation of Kashmiri representatives in proposed talks on the Kashmir dispute."
Contrary to the prospect of Separatist factions of Kashmir, India last week made it clear that all Bilateral Issues between India and Pakistan which includes Dialogue on Kashmir issue as well will be addressed mutually.
On December 17 Ministry of External Affairs of India said that date and venue for scheduled meeting between Foreign Secretaries of India and Pakistan in January 2016 are yet to be finalized and added that "all bilateral issues are to be addressed mutually between the two countries."
In August this year, the NSA-level talks were called off between India and Pakistan after India reacted to the meet of Separatists and then Pakistan's National Security Advisor, Sartaz Aziz.
Feeling ignored most of the Separatist factions in Kashmir attach their self conceived myths with upcoming Foreign Secretary level talks between India and Pakistan to actually pave way for their involvement in dialogue.
