All Greens Club, RCC register wins in ongoing 4th Eid Diwali Christmas Cup

JAMMU, Jan 18 : All Greens Cricket Club and RCC Srinagar registered emphatic wins in the ongoing 4th Eid, Diwali, Christmas T20 Cricket Cup for students and youths of the state, played at Parade Ground , here today.
Around 24 teams are going to participate in the tournament organized jointly by Jammu and Kashmir Police Department, Simula Sports Club, Atman Sports Club and Christian Sports Organization. The Organizing Committee included Hilal Rather, Sanjay Mahajan, Rajesh Gill, David Mattoo, Asif Gill, Rajesh Dhar, RP Singh, Sunil Sambyal and Sunny Gill. The slogan of the tournament is " Khelo Khushi Sey, Par Nasha Mat karo".
Earlier, Ashok Sharma, SSP PCR Jammu was the Chief Guest in today's Matches who was introduced with the participating teams . While Speaking on the occasion, he conveyed his best wishes to the participating players for their best performance in the tournament. He also appreciated the Organizing Secretary Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer for conducting the cricket tournament .
In the first match All Greens Club defeated Tawi Cricket Club by 5 wickets .
Batting first, Tawi Cricket Club scored 86 runs in stipulated 16 overs, with Sahib (24) and Munish (19) being the main scorers. Asif and Sunny took 3 wickets each for All Greens XI, while Shokat and Naveed shared one wicket. All Greens Club, in reply achieved the target in 13.1 overs by losing 5 wickets and won the match by 5 wickets.
In the second match, RCC Srinagar XI scripted a thrilling win against Secretariat Blue wherein Batting First RCC Club scored 173 runs for 9 wickets in allotted 20 overs game with Kuldeep 49 runs, Sandeep 42 and Puneet 31.
Secretariat Blue Club did not chased the target and made only 142 runs in the allotted overs by losing all wickets, thus lost the match by 31 runs. Puneet was adjudged man of the match for taking 4 wickets. The matches were officiated by Sandeep Manchanda, Vinod, Madan lal and Danny.
