SRINAGAR, Jan 27: As the PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti continues to adopt silence over taking oath as the Chief Minister of the State, all eyes are set on January 31 crucial meet to be chaired by Mehbooba at her Gupkar residence in Srinagar.
One thing is clear that the continuous silence by Mehbooba Mufti has worried the entire BJP camp right from Jammu and Kashmir to New Delhi.
Even after 20 days of her father Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed's death, Mehbooba is yet to communicate to the BJP her decision whether she will continue with the alliance to BJP.
PDP maintains that nothing can be said at this stage as to when would Mehbooba Mufti would take the oath. "The meeting is crucial as it would decide the future course of action. The entire leadership of PDP will attend the meeting. I would like to say one thing that Mehbooba is the ultimate authority in the party and it is up to her to decide.," one of the PDP leaders said.
He said that the party has kept all options ready. "Let Mehbooba Mufti take a call on whether to continue or to quit the alliance with the BJP,"
Sources said if not the final call, but Mehbooba will clear things on January 31 as to whether she would like to continue with BJP and form the Government in the State.
