| Protest against exclusion of 'genuine' families from NFSA list | | | M S Nazki

poonch, Mar 20: Beopar Mandal and some other non-political organisations today staged a protest at Mendhar here against the alleged exclusion of 66 'genuine' families from NFSA list.
The protest was held against Gohlad patwari Aziz Ahmad, who had allegedly excluded the 66 families for not falling under the NFSA criteria. These families were not included in the list which had been submitted before Mendhar tehsildar Salam Din.
They alleged that in the NFSA list, serving and retired government employees had been kept in the BPL category which was hard to digest. It was also surprising to note that out of 1439 ration card holders, only 66 had been excluded.
Led by Beopar Mandal president Parveen Sahani and RSS leader Vikas Sahana, the protesters demonstrated infront of the office of tehsildar and demanded immediate inclusion of these families in the list. The tehsildar assured to look into the matter, saying no injustice would be done to anybody.
