| Jammu, Sept 10: A high court division bench of Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice B S Walia today issued notice to the Chief Secretary, Education Secretary, Director Education, Director Colleges, incharge principal and deputy commissioner over the shifting of degree college from the government middle school, Baryalta, to the government higher secondary school, Majalta, due to the reasons fully detailed in the petition. The bench also directed them to file objections within one week. The court directive came in a petition filed by Dina Nath and others. The petitioners also sought direction to the respondents to hold an enquiry as to under which circumstances the degree college at Majalta, which could have been made functional from the government higher secondary school, Majalta, was made functional from the three class rooms of government middle school, Baryalta. They also alleged that the students studying in the middle school, Baryalta, had been shifted to a private residence.(JNF) |
