Udhampur, Dec 18: Waiting for help on the national highway after a tyre of his SUV got punctured, a man today slipped into a gorge at Malhar near Rehmbal here, resulting in his death.
He was identified as Bhupinder Singh, son of Omkar Singh of Watpora, Srinagar. He was on his way to Srinagar from Jammu when a tyre of his SUV (JK 01 X/0077) got punctured at Malhar. While waiting for some help to repair the puncured tyre, he slipped into a gorge, resulting in his death due to excessive bleeding, police sources said. The body was shifted to the mortuary of district hospital, Udhampur. After post-mortem, it was handed over to his family members for last rites. Police have registered a case in this connection. |
