JKWWS holds seminar on Dogri folklore

Jammu, Feb 14: Jay Kay Women Welfare Society (JKWWS) hold a seminar on Dogri folklore here today at Government High School Lehar Akhnoor.
Young scholars of the region presented their research papers . Dr. Gian Singh former additional secretary, Jammu and kashmir Academy of Art Culture and languages presided over the seminar while Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, a theatre practitioner was the Chief Guest. Anita Chandpuri, President Women Wing Jammu and Kashmir, Lok Janshakti Party was the special guest. Dr. Gian singh in his address congratulated all the scholars who present their research papers on this occasion. Dr Gian singh said that the present time is a information and technlogy which has given the opportunity and challenges as well in order to survive of all the regional languages of the country. Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, said that all arts whether performing or visual can not be save without the language so our first aim and mission should be to use mother tongue in our day to day affairs of the life . Anita complimented to all scholars especially women to see their seriousness and commitment towards the mother tongue. Yash Pal Nirmal a noted Dogri writer, scholar and poet conducted the proceedings of the seminar. Kewal Kumar Kewal noted Dogri and hindi hasya poet made lesioning with the locals of the area and the students to be the part of this seminar. The scholars who presented their research papers on this occasion were Vishan Sharma, Dr. Tarsem Kumar, Radha Rani, Sheetal Devi, Roshan Bral Roshan, Vicky Sharma, MS. Sakanda Devi and Ganga Sharma. The prominent among others Sant Keshav Dass, Rattan Bhardwaj, Rajinder Ranja, Mohan Bharti were present. T R Sharma, Secretary JKWWS presented vote of thanks
