20th Vishal Dangal at Ransoo marks conclusion of Shiv Khori Mela

Reasi, Feb 14: With the holding of 20th Kesari Vishal Dangal at Ransoo, base camp of holy shrine, the annual three-day Shiv Khori Mela concluded here today.
During the festival, lakhs of tourists from various parts of the state and outside witnessed the event and performed the darshan of the revered cave amid chanting of bhajans and devotional songs of Bholay Nath ji.
The dangal was organized by J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association in collaboration with tourism department, Shiv Khori Dangal Committee and district administration Reasi.
Executive Officer Shiv Khori Shrine Board Om Prakash was the chief guest on the occasion while Tehsildar Pouni Rajesh Barru, DYSSO Dr S.S Chib and DySP Nikhil Gogna were guests of honor.
Various civil and police officers, locals and pilgrims witnessed the dangal competition.
As many as, 34 bouts were fought during the competition in which local wrestlers and wrestlers from various parts of the state and outside states took part.
Kapil of Delhi was declared winner of Kesari Dangal who was awarded Rs 13,000 and other gifts while as the runner up Akram of Jammu was given a cash prize of Rs. 8,000.
The second and third bouts were won by Ajay Sharma of Udhampur and Babba of Jammu with cash award of of Rs 10000 and 7000 each respectively.
A Cash prize of 8000 and 5000 each were also rewarded to runners up of the wrestling competition.
The Dangal Committee extended thanks to the organizing team and all those who gave financial and physical support in smooth conduct of the wrestling match. Kashmir Singh and Brem Singh remained referees for the dangal competition.
