Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 15: Activists of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) along with the students of UIET today staged protest outside the Raj Bhawan in Jammu. The protest was led by Deepak Gupta, Mahanagar Mantri Piyush Khajuria & Saksham Koushal elected representative of UIET.
The cabinet in the past week has brought out a notification which says that the University Institute of Engineering and Technology which was initially the part and Institute of Jammu University is now not a part of Jammu University, rather it has been allotted the status of GCET Janglot.
The students while addressing the media said that they had taken admission in A+ grade University rather than University which has no grading as notification says that the university shall be a part of the cluster University which has been created by the cabinet in the past year.
Students said that they have already completed their first semester of their course of 4 years and now they have been left homeless as the University Administration and government is saying them to move to GCET Janklot & students are now forced to come on roads and stage protest.
