| Awareness camp on 'child labour' organized | | |  Early Times Report
Ramban, Mar 14: An awareness camp cum debate competition on 'child labour' was organized by Department of Labour, in collaboration with District Information Centre (DIC) Ramban at Government High School Chanderkote here today. Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC), Ramban Ganshyam Basorta, Head Master GHS Firdous Ahmed and teachers besides large number of students were present on the occasion.
As many as ten students from the school participated in the debate competition. Speaking on the occasion ALC laid stress on the dire need to protect the children from labour when they need to study in schools. He said that labour department is working in liaison with education department and various NGO's to trace the whereabouts of the school dropouts who may be probable child labours. DIC Ramban also organized a colourful culture programme on the occasion which was highly liked by the audience. |
