Kathua, Mar 14 : In order to promote Sports Culture and to involve youth in sports activities at village level, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kathua today organized Block Sports Tournament at Mahanpur on theme "No Drugs - No Rash Driving". In which Volley ball, Kabaddi, High Jump, 100 Mrs Race and 400 Mtr race competitions were organized. In Volley Ball Competitions, Raina Club, Sabar lifted the trophy and cash prize by defeating Noweshra Star Club in very tough competition.
In Kabaddi Competition, Kloba Youth Club was winner by defeating Uper Sbar Youth Club and given trophy and cash prize.
In Long Jump Manhor Lal were stand 1st and Bharat Bhushan stand 2nd and Muna at 3rd place and presented Mementoes, in 400 meter race Manhor Lal stand 1st, Nisar Ahmed secured 2nd and Muna at 3rd place and given Mementoes. In 100 Mtre Race, Monhar Lal secured 1st position, Rajat stand 2nd and Muna at 3rd place and given mementoes. Jasvinder Singh Social Worker from Mahanpur has given the trophy and mementoes to the winner and impressed upon Youth to make sports day to day routine activity for health and happily life. |
