Rajbagh police station operates without landline
Police station without telephone!

Kathua, Mar 14: A police station that covers the Indo-Pak border area in Kathua district is functioning without landline telephone as the facility has been withdrawn by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) due to non-payment of bills.
With no landline facility in police stations of Rajbagh, the seriousness of the police to safeguard these vital installations and check crime has been exposed. The Rajbagh police stations of Kathua district cover the majority of the area along the Indo-Pak border and several intrusion routes from Pakistan also fall under the jurisdiction of this police stations.
In the event of any emergent situation, the general public cannot contact the police swiftly as the landline telephone service at the Raj Bagh police stations has been withdrawn. It is a grave security threat and the police have turned a blind eye to it .The landline telephone connection to the Rajbagh police station was snapped in April 2017 due to non-payment of a meagre amount of Rs 1,200. It is pertaining to mention Here that in this police station fidyeen attack on 20 march 2015 where 3 security personal Martyed and the SDPO DSP Dewaker singh get bullet injuries
When Early Times contact with SSP Kathua suleman choudhary he dint pick the repeated calls of Early Times
Meanwhile, Sanjeev Sharma, commercial officer BSNL Kathua circle said the landline telephone services of several police stations were snapped due to non-payment of outstanding bills. The department will restore the service only after the full payment is received, added Sharma.
