Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 24: In a scathing attack on the biased and anti students attitude of Prof. Ramji Dass Sharma, National Secular Forum today held strong protest demonstration against the double standard adopted by Vice Chancellor of Jammu University while allotting booking of varsity auditorium in terms of his sweet will. Pardeep Sharma President Jammu University Unit, National Secular Forum (NSF), while addressing strong group of students today, said that booking of Rajinder Singh Auditorium was refused to National Secular Forums for holding seminar on the topic of "China's growing influence on Indian Economy" taking shelter of Clause C which seems only a ploy to refuse those who do not fit to his way of thinking and appease others having influence of corridors of power in the government. Criticizing the laxity of VC in allocation of university auditorium keeping his vested interests in mind, Pardeep Sharma pointed out that clause D restricts holding of any political function in auditorium, but how Prof Ramji Dass Sharma went ahead to allow a political function for celebrating death anniversary of late Mufti Mohammad Sayed and questioned as to why clause D was stealthily kept under carpet while holding political event in General Zorawar Singh Auditorium last month. Castigating the University administration for prejudicial approach, Pardeep Sharma asked as to what is the credibility and relevance of Clause D framed by university of Jammu which was flouted grossly by university and permitted holding of political event. He added that when NSF, which is student's related wing, applied for booking of auditorium for holding important educational seminar, university administration was quick enough to evoke clause C to disallow permission for auditorium booking, thus discouraging students for the same. Such an attitude of Prof Ramji Dass Sharma speaks of his arrogance and Akhnoori Raj established by him running on his whims and vagaries, he slammed. Among those who were present in the protest included Istaq Naik , Manmohan Singh, Anshu Sharma, Munish Sharma, Pankaj, Arvind Wali, Shivaji Yadav, Nandkishore, Ashif, Vicky Thakur and others. |
