Early Times Report
Anantnag, Mar 24: Even after Police Chief's admission about presence of Islamic terror group ISIS in Kashmir, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Legislator from Kashmir Sofi Yousf on Saturday claimed that the group has no presence in Kashmir.
"I don't think ISIS is present here. It is only Pakistan sponsored militancy," Sofi told Early Times on the sidelines of a workers meet here at Pahalgam.
Sofi said that situation wasn't conducive for initiating a process of dialogue with the neighboring country which he believes has always fomenting trouble and militancy in Kashmir.
"Killings and bloodshed hurts and pains us. I request youngsters not create hurdles for armed forces during anti-militancy operation," he said.
Sofi said that a bullet when fired by Army trooper or militant doesn't see who is innocent and who is guilty.
"When a youth gets killed in cross-firing it hurts and pains me so my request to them will be that avoid creating hurdles during anti-militancy operations," he added.
Sofi said that the government has initiated a process and very soon Kashmiri youngsters will join mainstream and help in eliminating militancy in Kashmir.
"It will take time but Kashmiri youngsters will join mainstream and militancy will get vanished," he said.
Important to mention here, State police chief SP Vaid has said that Islamic terror group ISIS has presence in Kashmir.
