Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 24: The J&K Aam Aadmi Party expressed satisfaction over the verdict pronounced by Delhi High Court over the fate of 20 AAP MLAs regarding holding of office of profit in Delhi Government. Addressing a meeting here today National Council and Founder Member-S Deep Singh, while welcoming the verdict said that the observations made by Court clearly and vehemently speak that the decision of Chief Election Commission of India, regarding 20 AAP MLAs allegedly holding office of profit, and subsequently finding them ineligible for being MLA, was erroneous, arbitrary, illegal and without substance and in fact was issued by the outgoing Chief Election Commission of India a day short of his retirement, just to please Narinder Modi who was Chief Secretary in Gujrat during the regime of Narinder Modi. The release termed the verdict as victory for the electorates of Delhi as also a victory for truth and added that Nation must know that at present the strength of Parliamentary Secretaries in the country is Gujrat 8, Chhatisgarh 11, Rajasthan 10, UttraKhand 12, Punjab 24, Arunachal Pardesh 26, Haryana 4, Himachal 6, Karnataka 10, Manipur 12, Meghalya 18 & Nagaland 26 totaling 167 in the whole country but why disqualification of 20 AAP MLAs in Delhi alone? This amply speaks of political vendetta against Party supremeo Kejriwal. The release further added that the decision has been welcomed by the Party enthusiasts in Delhi with great jubilations as sweets were distributed among workers who appeared fully charged. The misuse of office of CEC has therefore been seen as an open attack on constitutional Institution leaving 167 other MLAs as unseen is really a great danger to the democratic & democratic constitutional Institutions without an iota of doubt, the release said.
