Ghagwal Police organizes Volley Ball Tournament

Jammu, Mar 24: Continuing with the endeavour of J&K Police to strengthen Police-Public relations and to promote sports activities among the youth, Ghagwal Police organized a Volley ball Tournament at Ghagwal under the Civic Action Programme in which 08 different teams of the adjoining areas participated. The said tournament has been organized with a view to create awareness among the youth to keep them physically fit as well as to keep them away from social evils /drug menace. The final match of the said Volleyball tournament was played today between the teams of Gurah Mandian and Jatwal in which team of Gurah Mandian played splendidly and emerged as winner by beating the team of Jatwal by 3-2 points. The match was witnessed by large number of spectators of Ghagwal area who also appreciated the initiative taken by Jammu and Kashmir Police for channelizing the energy of youth in the right directions. In this event all the teams played in a highly professional manner under the supervision of trained referees. On the occasion, SHO P/S Ghagwal congratulated the winning team of Gurah Mandian and presented them cash reward and memento/trophy. At the conclusion of the tournament SHO P/S Ghagwal stressed that youth are the future of our country and we have to give them the opportunities and platform to show their talent / excellence.
