Jammu, Mar 24: NHPC Sewa II Power Station distributed scholarships to 70 deserving and needy students of local areas during the current financial year. At a programme organised in Mashka, Rajan Kumar, General Manager distributed scholarships to the students in the presence of their school teachers, parents and NHPC officials. The scholarships have been transmitted online into the bank accounts of all students. While addressing the gathering, the GM informed that an amount of Rs. 6,14,000/- has been distributed amongst 70 students of 12 government schools lying in the close vicinity of Sewa Project. The GM alongwith officers interacted with the young students and encouraged them to achieve success through hard work, perseverance and high moral values. The teachers, parents and students immensely thanked NHPC for the distribution of scholarships as well as for the conduct of various other CSR initiatives like Medical camp, distribution of dustbins, construction of urinals, etc. They also requested NHPC for some more developmental works under CSR for the betterment of schools to be taken up during the next financial year. |
