Pak resorts to heavy firing in Nowshera

Jammu, Mar 29: An army Naik was injured at forward post in Nowshera sub division when Pakistan army resorted to heavy unprovoked firing in Lam sector in Nowshera sub division Thursday afternoon.
The injured Naik has been identified as TS Raman of Gorkha unit. After initial treatment, he was brought to army hospital at Rajouri where he is responding to treatment.
Pakistani troops resorted to heavy mortar shelling and firing in Khari and Karmara areas on Indian forward posts and civilian areas which was effectively retaliated by the Indian soldiers deployed in the area.
Though no loss was reported on Wednesday, Pakistan army resorted to unprovoked heavy firing on Indian forward posts in Anvas Bandar area of Lam sector in Nowshera sub division in Rajouri district on Thursday.
SSP Poonch in his tweet has also confirmed truce violation by Pakistan army in Kerni, Qasba villages in Shahpur sector. Indian army strongly retaliated the truce violation by Pakistan army.
On March 18 five members of a family were killed including husband, wife and three minor sons while two minor daughters had received serious splinter injuries and were admitted in GMC hospital, when a mortar shell from across the LoC fell inside their house in Devta village in Balakot sector.
Five soldiers were also injured in the shelling/ firing and were admitted in the army hospital at Rajouri.
One civilian was injured in Nowshera sector on March 4 while two soldiers were injured in CFV in BG sector in Poonch district on the same day.
