3/29/2018 11:03:26 PM
Early Times Report

Rajouri, Mar 29: Indefinite strike by the Nowshera people for district status entered 42nd day on Thursday. People took out a protest rally and after passing through various bazaars sat on dharna at Patel Chowk.
"Large number of women are also joining our indefinite strike for district status and we have cleared our reiterated that government should sanction post of ADDC for Nowshera, establish police Lines and open offices of ARTO, Assistant Director (AD), FCS&CA" said Subhash Kapoor, president JAC. He added a team of Bar Association, Jammu headed by A. Sharma today visited Nowshera , met with the people, JAC members and also extended their support for our demand of district status.
"They have also extend legal support for any move against police action on peaceful protesters in which more than 30 people were injured in tear gas shelling, pelting of stones and lathi charge" said Kapoor.
He informed that Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhry, DDC today visited Nowshera and had interaction with youth leaders who made their position once again clear that nothing less than ADDC post will be accepted to them.
Kapoor has expressed his innocence about any move of government to sanction post of ADDC for Nowshera to end the stalemate as JAC Kalakot has warned not to allow ADC, Kalakot to function under the control of ADDC, Nowshera.
