| Crime established against 10, challan produced | | Darhal Murder case | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Mar 29: In a case of murderous assault on a family resulting in death of an elderly person and injuries to several others in Ujhan Margan village of Darhal police station , Rajouri police has established offense against ten persons with seven of them arrested so far while Special Investigation Team headed by SDPO Thanamandi, Iftikar A Chowdhary has solved the case within two months and produced the Challan in the Court of Law.
On 13-01-2018, several members of a family were assaulted with sharp edged weapons and were shifted to local hospital and then to district hospital Rajouri with grievous injuries.
Soon after the incident was reported to police, team from Darhal police station headed by SHO than moved to the spot after this incident while a case 07/2018 U/S 307, 452, 336, 147, 148, 323, 34 RPC was registered in Police Station Darhal.
One of the injured Juma son of Karam Din was referred to Jammu GMC where he later succumbed.
A Special Investigation Team was framed on the directions of SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas which conducted raids on multiple places in district as well as outside the district and arrested seven of the accused.
During investigation of case, police established offences against ten accused and, challan of case has been produced in court.
Three of the accused of case are still absconding while a warrant also stands issued against them and police is making all out efforts to arrest the trio.
It has also been found that the incident took place as there was a long pending land dispute between two families in Ujhan Margan village for which both sides even clashed with each other in past for which four separate cases were registered in previous years and all stand challaned in court and the enmity between both sides was going on since long and this land dispute was the reason behind this case also. |
