| ICELA in collaboration with Govt PG College holds seminar | | |  Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Mar 29: Indian Council for Environ Legal Action (ICELA) in collaboration with Cultural and Literary Committee of Government PG College Rajouri held a seminar here today.
The world renowned environmentalist, legal luminary and Roman Magsaysay awardee Padamshri MC Mehta held an interactive talk with the students on the theme "Environmental Concerns of Rajouri" in the auditorium of Government PG College.
Interacting with the students and faculty members, Mehta focused on the dire need to adopt the concept of sustainable development as the survival of life is at stake due to the drastic changes taking place in the Environment at the global perspectives.
Mehta alarmed that climatic changes has changed all the patterns that is fatal as per as the future of coming generations is concerned. We must live according to our needs and not on the unfulfilling desires of greed, he added.
Mehta appealed young guns to become the instrument of changes and do something concrete to save mother earth.
Others, who spoke on the occasion, include Ashok Sharma, State Convenor ICELA, Prof Javed Qazi Principal Government PG College Rajouri, eminent social activist Vikrant Sharma and district convener ICELA Kanav Badyal. |
