Jammu, Apr 11: Gorkha Cricket Club registered emphatic win against the Singh Cricket Eleven in the opening match of "1st Patel memorial T20 Invitational Cup", which gets underway at Parade Cricket Ground here today.
1st Patel memorial T20 Invitational Cup is being organized by Patel Cricket under the aegis of JKCA at Parade Ground Jammu. The event is being organized under the Supervision of Jung Bahadur Singh Jamwal President Patel Club & Vijay Sharma, Secretary of the Patel Club.
Jung Bahadur Singh, President Patel Club and member JKCA today declared the tournament open by Playing a few cricket ball at the venue in presence of Vijay Sharma Secy. Patel Club, Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer and Vijay Saberwal President Parade Sports Association Jammu.
While interacting with the participating teams of the opening match , the Chief Guest Jung Bahadur Singh announced special cash prizes of Rs.1000/- who scored century, Rs.1000 for scoring 6 fours in a over,Rs.1200/- for scoring 6 sixes in a over and Rs.500 for taking hatrick in a over.
In the opening match Gorkha Cricket Club defeated Singh Eleven by 3 wickets
Batting first, Singh Club scored 112 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 18 overs. Harmans 32, Abhishek 13 and Sandeep 11 runs were the main scorer.
From bowling Side, Ashu, Kavit and Pardeep took 2 wickets each.
In reply Gorkha Cricket Club chased the target in 16.1 overs by losing 7 wickets thus won the match by 3 wickets. Nikhil 43,Rahul 37 and Padeep 16 were the main scorers. From Bowling Side Sahil took 4 wickets while Anil took 1 wicket.
Nikhil from Gorkha Cricket Club was adjudged the man of the match award . The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Saleem ur Rehman and Sanju.
