CM shocked with complete Jammu Bandh
4/11/2018 11:32:46 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 11: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is reportedly angry with some officials, and BJP too, for having failed to make the Jammu bandh unsuccessful. The CM has called the officials and reportedly expressed her concern in very vocal and hard way.
"CM was furious as there was no impact of the divisionary tactics the officers were asked to deploy. She was even taken aback by the little impact of the decision of Jammu Chambers of Commerce to stay away from the bandh. It was last thing she expected," said sources.
They said while the Chamber was made to stay away from the call, they too had put forward some demands.
"The Chamber had put itself as the sole representative of the Jammu, but with bandh almost complete, it exposed its claim. CM believes she was misinformed about the influence of the Chamber and she has taken a serious note of it," said sources.
Sources said the CM was being consistently assured by the BJP that it has managed things and that the bandh call would be complete a 'failure.'
"The CM couldn't believe that with even BJP and Chamber staying from Jammu bandh call, and she being assured that some prominent media houses were in the loop, the bandh was voluntary and reflected how much anger there was among people against her and her policies with regard to the Jammu," said the sources.
They said that with BJP already being pushed to dock and now with Jammu bandh pushing it further to the wall, it could further strain the relations between the coalition partners.
"The CM had assumed that while Kashmir was slipping she could project herself to the nation that she has say in Hindu areas of Jammu. But she failed to understand the nerves of the people and BJP helped in the process," said the sources.
