Jammu, Apr 11: A LinkedIn, Local Event on Career and Community Development was organised today by the Department of Students Welfare, Cluster University of Jammu at Govt. M.A.M College Jammu.
Dr. Taranum Khan, Career Consultant Coach and LinkedIn Strategy Coach from Ontario, Canada was the expert and Resource person for the event and provided international support to the Local Co-hosts.
She stressed the audience about the need of building up relationships globally so that new ideas can be exchanged and imbibed by the young learners. The main purpose of the event was networking, exchange of ideas, building relationships at local and global levels thereby creating a gateway to new possibilities for all the stakeholders. The programme started with the lighting of traditional lamp by Prof. Anju Bhasin, Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu and the Principal of the host college Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Chander.
The International virtual speakers of the LinkedIn local were Anna Mcafee Co-founder of LinkedIn Locals from Australia, Khatija Qureshi from Toronto, Sam. P. Lark Jr. from USA, Fateh Khan Global Goodwill Ambassador from Singapore, were the Resource persons during the event. About 80 students from Govt. M.A.M College and GCW Gandhi Nagar were registered and participated in the event and interacted with the International experts.
Prof. Poonam Dhawan, Dean Academic Affairs, Cluster University of Jammu, Dr. Jatinder Khajuria, Registrar, Cluster University of Jammu, Dr. Twinkle Suri, Dean Students Welfare, Dr. Geetanjali Rana, Dean School of Humanities, Cluster University of Jammu, were also present on the occasion..
Dr. Banpreet Kour, Dr. Shiveta Gandotra, Prof. Jasvinder Singh and Raghav Sharma were the local co-hosts for the event. Prof. Vishal Sharma, Prof. Ranjeet Slathia, Prof. Indu Sharma, coordinated the event. Dr. Banpreet Kour welcomed the guests, Manya Langar and Mansivi from PGI English Honors anchored the proceedings and Prof. Jasvinder Singh delivered the vote of thanks.
