4/28/2018 11:10:00 PM
Early Times Report

Rajouri, Apr 28: Fourteen schools of Rajouri have less than 20% result in the recently declared results of 12th class.
Some of the schools are situated in Rajouri town. Government Girls Model HSS School at Rajouri is one of them.
In an immediate action and as per standing rules, increments of the subject teachers having result below 50% (Subject wise) have been stopped.
Increments of all the heads of the institutions having below 20% result were also withheld and CEO has sought explanation from all such teachers/ head of the institutions to be submitted to the higher authorities for more action.
The main reason behind the poor results, according to senior officers of the department, was stringent measures taken ( to stop copying) by the district administration during examination process" said a senior Education Officer.
"Stringent measures to curb mass copying lead to decline in the result which always used to be very high. We have made an analysis of this issue and working on it," said Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhry, DDC. When contacted by the Early Times, Ch Lal Hussain, Chief Education Officer (CEO) said that explanations have already been sought from the head of the institutions and the concerned subject teachers.
"As per standing directions from the directorate office the increments of the subject teachers (whose result is below 50%) have been withheld besides of the heads of the institutions having less than 20% result" said CEO.
He added he has not received any communication from the Directorate office yet for any further action in this matter.
Important among 20 government higher secondary schools having below 20% results includes Girls model HSS, Rajouri ; higher secondary schools at Thanamandi,Treyath, Sialsui, Ghambir Muglan and Planghar, Moghla and Kakora.
