5/7/2018 11:26:22 PM
Early Times Report
Rajouri, May 7: the court has finally come to the rescue of Ajay Sharma, a casual labour in Social Forestry Department Rajouri by acknowledging his FIR, after he suffered for more than a year.
An FIR No 236 U/S 342,382 and 323 stands registered against Division Forest Officer Social Forestry , Rajouri , Bhagwan Singh Salathia, Neeraj Kumar , Incharge Ranger SFD and junior assistant Anil Kumar.
Ajay's tale of woes started on February 2, 2017 when after being summoned by his Division Forest Officer Social Forestry , Rajouri , Bhagwan Singh Salathia to collect his pending eight months' salary , Ajay was locked in a room and beaten blue and black.
Bhagwan Singh was joined in by Neeraj Kumar , Incharge Ranger SFD and junior gardener Anil Kumar who also worked in the department in the capacity of junior assistant SFD.
Bhagwan Singh had telephonically called both to join him in beating Ajay Sharma, whose fault was that he possessed a copy of RTI to be sent to Social Forestry Department seeking answer as to why his salary was not released.
"I somehow managed to give them slip and ran bleeding to the district Hospital Rajouri where I was attended by doctors. My cash of Rs 1500 and a memory card of my mobile phone were snatched by all three," said Ajay Sharma, s/o Amarnath Sharma , r/o Sunderbani , Rajouri .
Ajay approached police station Rajouri with an application for lodging an FIR against all the three accused but police did not heed any attention to his plea..
"For nearly one year I kept requesting the police officials to lodge FIR against all the three accused but to no avail. This left me hapless and with no other option but to seek refuge in the court," said Ajay Sharma while talking to the Early Times.
He said that taking the cognizance of the matter , the court came to his rescue and directed the Rajouri police to lodge an FIR against all the three accused and send a copy to the court also.
Nearly more than after one year, finally Ajay Kumar got his complaint registered through the court against the three accused viz Bhagwan Singh, DFO Social Forestry Rajouri, Neeraj Kumar , Incharge Ranger SFD and junior assistant Anil Kumar.
