Party also endorse demand of shifting case to Ramban

Jammu, May 7: Duplicity of Saffron Party once again exposed when BJP opposed CBI probe into Kathua minor murder and alleged rape case. In public BJP is supporting demand of the CBI probe in the Supreme Court, state government in which BJP is equal partner strongly opposed the demand of handing over this case to CBI. Not only this BJP, has also demanded that hearing of the case should be held at Ramban instead of Jammu or Kathua.
BJP is equal partner of the coalition regime so stand of state government is stand of the BJP also. The way Counsel for J&K Government in Supreme Court strongly opposed shifting of case to CBI is an indication that decision in this regard was taken after taking BJP into confidence.
Credible sources said that BJP leadership including ministers were taken into confidence and it was decided that state government would not hesitate to hire prominent lawyers of the country to oppose CBI probe into Kathua case. "BJP leadership has given its consent to its coalition partner PDP to oppose CBI probe at any cost", sources said.
Talking to a Kashmir based news agency, the counsel for J&K government on Kathua case Advocate Shoaib Alam Monday said though the counsel for the accused insisted on his plea for transfer of Kathua minor rape case investigation from Crime Branch of Jammu and Kashmir Police to Central Bureau of Investigation and continuation of the trial of the case in Kathua court but Supreme Court after hearing all the parties involved in the case rejected the plea for transfer of the case to CBI and transferred the trial of the case from Kathua court to Pathankot in Punjab.
Replying to a question he said "we on the behalf of J&K government opposed the transfer of the investigation of the Kathua case from J&K police Crime Branch to CBI and the transfer of the trial of the case outside Jammu and Kashmir barring Jammu and Kathua."
