| 2 nabbed with drugs in Thanamandi | | 2 others taken into preventive custody | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, May 11: Rajouri Police has nabbed two boys alongwith drugs in Thanamandi area booking the duo under NDPS Act while two others from Darhal have been taken into preventive custody for their involvement in drug related unlawful activities.
During naka checking at TCP Thanamandi, a vehicle Bolero bearing registration no. JK11B-4784 driven by Ajaz Ahmed S/O Abdul Rashid R/O Plangerh Tehsil Thanamandi was stopped for checking.
During thorough search, 8/9 (approx) grams of heroin was recovered from his possession while 6/7 (approx) grams heroin was also recovered from the possession of other boy travelling in the vehicle namely Mohd Asif S/O Mohd Bashir R/O Chandimarh and at present near Tariq Bridge Rajouri.
Both the accused were arrested from the spot and case FIR NO. 67/2018 U/S 8/22/60 NDPS Act has been registered and investigation had been itaken up.
Police team headed by SHO Thanamandi under the supervision of SDPO Thanamandi Iftikar A Chowdhary laid this Naka on some specific inputs.
Meanwhile, continuing its efforts to prevent unlawful incidents, Rajouri police today took two more persons into preventive custody.
Both are drug peddlers and have been taken into custody on the orders of magistrate and have been identified as Altaf Hussain son of Hameed Ullah resident of Chowkian Darhal and Mohd Safeer son of Tufail Hussain resident of Chowkian Darhal.
Team of police headed by SHO Darhal implemented the order. |
