Jammu, May 15: Vishwa Bharti Senior Secondary School Akalpur Morh today celebrated silver jubilee year in the school campus.
A gala function was organised during the special extended morning assembly where all the students, teachers and members of school management committee were present.B.L. Saraf, Former Session Judge, High Court Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Programme commenced with Sarasvati Vandana which was followed by the welcome address by Sameer Bhat In - charge Higher Secondary. Anju Dulloo, Department of Hindi, traced the whole history of Vishwa Bharti since its foundation and threw light on the achievements of the school during 25 years. Various cultural items were also presented by the school students along with the singing of Vidhyalay Song.
On this specific occasion, the meritorious students of class 10th and class 12th and also the students who brought laurels in Tanisha - Do - Championship held recently, were awarded with medals and certificates for their excellence, by the Chief Guest and Dr. S. K. Koul Secretary Vishwa Bharti J&k Unit. Chief Guest B.L. Saraf in his speech encouraged the young students for their compatible performance in academic as well as non- academic fields. |
