Early Times Report

Jammu, May 22: A deputation of General Line Teachers Forum under the leadership of its State President Neeraj Sharma today met with Education Minister Chowdhary Zulfikar at his official residence. Neeraj Sharma alongwith all the executive members welcome the new Education Minister in the Department and presented a bouquet in his honour and submitted a memorandum of demands. Neeraj Sharma briefed the New Minister about various issues confronting the General Line Teachers particularly about the infamous order 469 of 2014. Neeraj Sharma told the minister that order 469 of 2014 was completely unjust and contrary to the conventions and was enacted in hurry without fore seeing its adverse effect. He said that the order has been caused of resentment and disappointment among General Line Teachers for last 4 years. Sharma also apprised of the minster that the forum has represent this case at all level of Government and has also filed a litigation in the court of law since June 2014. He also demanded NO TRANSFER POLICY FOR ReTS as this may open the unconventional and back door recruitment of further RETs as they deliberately demand transfer to some other school just to create that post vacant for further recruitment of ReTs of their near and dear ones as there is less competition in RET selection at Mohalla or village level.
